Electric Radiator Case Studies

Case study one: Timothy Hutchings

Replacing storage heaters

  • Detached four bedroom house with three reception rooms, conservatory and utility
  • Required 12 radiators (varying sizes)

Timothy’s home previously had a storage heater in the reception room and panel heaters in the bedrooms before he purchased his electric radiators. He found the storage heaters inflexible as he had to try to predict the next day’s temperatures in order for them to be effective.

Excellent customer service

After the purchase of his electric radiators Timothy found that one radiator would not start heating until 24 degrees was programmed instead of the desired 17 degrees, which was on all the other radiators. He emailed the company and received very clear instructions on how to remedy the situation on the same day. As Timothy said, “It was excellent service.”

Taking tariff advice

Timothy acted on the tariff advice from The Economy Radiator Company and has moved from the Economy 7 tariff to a more economical single tariff. His consumption has not increased and Timothy is confident that he will make savings in his next heating bill.

Replacing gas central heating

  • three bedroom detached house
  • Required six electric radiators (varying sizes)

Angela and her husband had gas central heating in their house. The boiler was old and they were searching for something more economical to run.

The online search

They chose electric heating because it is 100 percent efficient and they knew that both electric and gas prices were on the rise. They came across The Economy Radiator Company online and then visited the showroom in Sessay.

An excellent choice

Angela and her husband were impressed with the information they received and with what they saw and decided to go ahead and purchase electric radiators for their home. When carrying out their research, Angela and her husband also discussed the importance of cost effective electricity tariffs with Michael Wood (MD), and have since been delighted to move to a cheaper electricity tariff.
