Local MP warms to Economy Radiator Company

December, 2012
Miss Anne McIntosh, MP for Thirsk, Malton and Filey, officially opened The Economy Radiator Company’s new offices and warehouse last week.

Michael Wood, MD moved his business earlier this year to a 5,000 square foot warehouse so that the company could treble its capacity. There is further room for expansion at the site in Sessay as the business requires.

Miss McIntosh said: “I was delighted to be opening the new facilities. It is good news for the company and a vote of confidence in Thirsk, Malton and Filey as a centre of enterprise.”

The Economy Radiator Company launched two new products, giving Miss McIntosh the chance to see them first.   These are a new easy to use radiator called Simplistique, which is very similar to the Ultra-Slimline radiator but without the integral programming system, and the Vertex radiator which is a much taller radiator offering those with small wall space but plenty of ceiling height an electric radiator solution. There was also a sneak preview at the prototype of the company’s new outdoor heater.

Michael Wood said: “We were thrilled to have Miss McIntosh come and officially open our new offices. We are dedicated to the community and creating local jobs and right now things are really hotting up for us; sales are up month on month and the feedback from our customers is just fantastic.”
