Radiator company promotes the work/life balance perfectly
The Economy Radiator Company, has devised an innovative new way of working to ensure it meets customer demand while offering flexibility to its employees.
The company is moving on to a six-day working week during its peak winter months but employees will only work four days a week in summer when demand is lower. Staff will work on a rota basis to ensure a five-days-a-week service to customers is maintained during the warmer months.
Michael Wood, MD of The Economy Radiator Company says; “Call volumes between September to January are six times higher than during the rest of the year and we need to meet our customers’ needs. The benefit is that our staff has a better work/life balance and gets time off to enjoy the summer weather.”
Employees’ salaries will remain the same throughout the year, with only their working hours changing.
Since the company was founded in 2008, Michael Wood, MD and Entrepreneur has seen sales double year on year first to £2.5 million per annum (March 2011) and is well on target to meet sales of £4.5 million by the end of March 2012.
